Due to my pc suddenly going pop I am rushing to sort out a replacement. Not kept up to date so looking for a little feedback on whats in my basket before I order later. Have some wiggle room if there is anything I could change for a jump in performance so feel free to suggest anything.

Any feedback is appreiated guys. Using a friends pc to post this then I am relegated to my phone for browsing. :(

I can't see any obvious problems, you could save a few pounds by going for the OEM version of the Q6600 and the Western Digital Blue Series 640gb hard drive is around the same price as the Samsung. I might also change the DVDRW for a SATA model.

Urm a sata dvd drive might be better jsut to keep the inside tidy? (only if you have an ide drive to hand for installing vista though, i think that problem is still about :s)

You also might be interested in a the modular version of the psu (its a little more but again it keeps the internal of your case tidy)

Other than that, sweet! you should get a fast pc there

Get:
OEM CPU
Modular PSU
If you're paying 100+ for mobo you might just as well add extra 20-30 and get x38 for future crossfire ( and trust me you will want it ).

Pick MX-2 instead of AS5 as well.

And you could save few bucks on sound card, tbh im not sure if its worth it, so unless you got some pro 5.1 or 7.1 set of speakers worth over 200quid you probably won't notice much diff over 15quid soundblaster.
