comes to around 440, would like to try and get cheaper if possible but not gimp the gfx, again, suggestions would be great!

Thanks in advance :D

all looks good, though Id recomend a different mobo as Abit have gone/are about to go bust, look at the gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L here, only £10 more better board and you wont have to worry about support issues

ok, have looked into it a bit more, decided on not geting a B-Class mobo, instead was thinking :

Asus P5Q-VM Intel G45 Micro-ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
(http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-306-AS) - as the GA-EP43-DS3L can only have a maximum of 8gb, dont want to have to replace the motherboard next time i upgrade! not sure if this is the right choice though! also decided on getin XP 64 bit. not vista! mainly gaming reasons (old school ones) and the fact that I am so used to it now.

thought i may aswell up the RAM also:
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Platinum Series DDR2 (OCZ2P10664GK) (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-114-OC)

Also been reading about a reduction in price of intels quad core coming up in feb? Is it worth the wait? and to what degree will ''price drop'' be?

Thanks for feed back btw :)

That mobo is a completely different size for starters, micro-ATX rather than full size, you dont need to worry about the gigabyte only supporting 8 gig, thats more than enough, and if you get asus its worth noting some people have compatibility issues with asus boards and OCZ RAM, I have both and havent had issues but others have, so if you did decide on an asus, Id recomend you look at the Asus P5QPro which is £25 more btw, youre best looking at Corsair or G-Skill RAM

ok, thanks for pointing that one out! I think i'l go for the (Asus P5Q Pro Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard) then?

Also for memory:
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit?

Cheers
