Hi

My son is building a new PC for his grandparents, one point to note is that they need a case that is less than 35cm high. They have monitor, printer etc PC is next to router so no need for wireless yet.

Use will be Web, Office, Skype, Storing/Burning Photos, Storing Music and occasional gaming.......so light use. I plan to use onboard graphics for now. My approach has been to over spec as I expect this will be kept for 3 years at least.

My questions are:-
1) Will the DVD and card reader look OK in the case, or should I try and find the Lian Li card reader?
2) Is the Power Supply OK........I need less than 300w but wanted modular as its a small case....

Any other thoughts/suggestions?

Thankyou.....

Case I agree, way overkill but my step-mum likes it and it will sit on her desk not mine....;)

I did find a cheaper case Antec NSK 3480.....with a PSU included, I have the Antec Sonata III and it has been fine.......so will offer that and see what she says.......but for looks it falls way short.

What other suggestions for cases do you have?

PSU I will change to the Corsair or do you reckon this is better...

Games played will be what my boys play, Settlers 7 would be the newest.

On GPU no plans for a dedicated card but I may pass down one of mine so would like the option.

I will do an AMD build for her but I reckon the cost saving will be small and the i3 seems such a great chip.....
