Hi all.

Can some kind soul please have a look at this spec and tell me if it is ok?

Just a couple of questions, if I may.

First, I only really play WOW, so was wondering if the 580 was a bit much and maybe go for an i7 instead since WOW is more CPU intensive?

Also, I just want to confirm that the power supply is modular? I know the photos are, but it is not mentioned in the text?

Thank you :)

Err wow, you guys don't hang around, do you? :) Thanks for all the replies so far.

As for spec, I agree that it is a bit OTT for WOW. The reason for the extra headroom is that I am not looking to change this system for some time and I want to cover anything that might come up in the near future. Who knows what I will be doing with it 6 months from now. :)

So, although I personally hate the phrase, I am looking at 'future proofing' as much as I can.

Looking at the spec I posted, I can see a lot of potential for future use. I was just wondering if I was spending the money in the right places or whether I should spend more or less in some areas?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks.

Ok, updated spec. How about knocking the 580 down to a 570 and getting an SSD as well?

Something like this:

Better or worse than before?

560Ti would easly keep you going for some time. easly power you for that 6months you mentioned.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that 6 months was just an example. I plan to keep the computer in this spec for much longer than that. :)

spending the savings of graphics on quality SSD should more then make up for the compramise.

await to see if anyone agrees to my point tho please

It seems at least one person agrees with you :)

Cool. I am sure people have had problems with the M4 as well. If that is the case, then I can't see why you wouldn't go for the Agility 3 then?

I must say I am impressed. I can into this thread convinced my spec was perfect and you guys have shown me otherwise :)

Thanks for all the recommendation so far.

Something comes to mind though. At the moment the plan is to get another GTX 570 down the line sometime. Just wanted to make sure the PSU can cope with that?

Thanks again.
