Thoughts?

Only aimed usage is for general office use, building for a friend - I know 16GB is an overkill for this usage but one of the sticks is for me as payment

Does anyone know if a single 8GB XMS3 stick will work with 3 x 2GB XMS3 sticks in dual channel?

Needs a GFX card (or use an APU).

Yeah.

P.S RAM, the board has two dimm slots, so you wont be using that many sticks at once.

I should have clarified sorry!

I'll be using 1 x 8GB XMS3 and 1 x 2GB XMS3 in the new build (the 2GB coming from my current rig)

In turn I'll put the second 8GB stick along side my 3 remaining 2GB sticks

so:

New PC:

1 x XMS3 8GB
1 x XMS3 2GB (from my rig)

My PC

3 x XMS3 2GB
1 x XMS3 8GB (from new PC parts)

If that makes any sense.. XD
