Changed my mind on the Entho Evolv build.

Can you please check the following spec.
Anything missing? Anything overkill? Is this mobo any good? Is the PSU going to be big enough.

Would like the machine to be as quiet as possible.
The Noctua D15 is not currently in stock but i assume I could use the stock cooler until this arrives.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £2,586.92
(includes shipping: £23.10)

Thanks

Whoops - left 2 psu's in there

I guess your budget is £2500? Also will you be doing any video editing etc if not stick to 8GB of RAM. Also the 4K screen will make it hard for you to play games unless you have more than one GPU

You need to be careful the cooler is too large and covers or gets close to the first PCI-E slot, the one you are putting the gfx card into, and even more of a concern for gfx cards that have a backplate reducing the gap even more to the cooler.

I would swap the SSD for the NVMe version if you are going with the SM951.

The Corsair RMi is a quiet power supply even at full load. A 650W is enough for a single GTX 980 ti.

You also have the EVGA G2, SuperFlower Leadex etc which have eco fan mode.

If you want to avoid the possible cooler issue mentioned by Stulid then swap it for the D15S. It has a different design so it has better compatibility with the pci-e slot.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £299.43
(includes shipping: £10.50)

Also you might as well get an ATX size board.

wow that are some fancy parts you have there.. you can also go with nanoxia for tower and Phanteks PH-TC14PE as cpu cooler. altho i would take 850 watt for future SLI.

I don't think you will need more the 8GB for a while yet unless you are one of those people (me) who have about 30 tabs open in chrome, 10 different programs and running GTA V

black ops was taking over 8gb of my ram earlier and I've been experiencing memory leaks in the past with H1Z1 and other games, Star Citizen is ment to be needing between 8-16gb of ram

Woah - Didn't realise they were so big.
What about the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler. I think they are fairly new. Anyone got any experience of that. Just checked the specs and it looks around the same size so it'll probably be the D15S.

I'll stick with 16GB ram.

Do you really think I should go 850w. Maybe the EVGA SuperNova P2?

Is that as quiet? Spec says its fanless up to 60% load.

Thanks for all your help. I think I'll be pulling the trigger tomorrow. :)

Ok. I've done a bit of reading and think i'll go for the 950 Pro.

Will look into the cooler a bit more.

In respect of 980Ti is the one i've chosen any good. I'm looking for a fairly quiet card so tried to avoid the reference cooler.
