Ok this is the final specs i have settled upon unless anyone can suggest anything else?
and also does anyone know from experience if all this will fit in the case nicely?
any comments or suggestions are welcomed. I plan on ordering it in a few hours depending on what everyone has to say about it.
thanks in advance

what do you use your PC for?

be aware that E8600 is out soon (some people are already benching them)

I will only be using it for gaming. i have already read a lot of posts and found out that quad is only useful if i plan on rendering and things and i almost rever do that so its c2d for me.
i seen the e8600 soon but i dunno how much it will cost and things so i aint really that bothered, doesnt seem that much better anyway. well to me anyway

Looks good then. Only thing that I'd probably change would be the cpu cooler, for a tuniq tower (LED version, as that is cheaper)

The spec looks pretty good. But, I would either wait for the new E8600 to come out if you really want a dual core for the high clock speeds, or wait for the newer quads to come out, and get one of those, or get one of the current models when the price has gone down a bit. Or, you might want to just get a Q6600 now. Scrap the SATA cable, there isn't a need for one, and I think that the ones that come with the motherboards are nearly 45cm anyway. Change the cooler to a Tuniq Tower 120 or an Xigmatek HDT-S1283.

What size display are you playing on, and do you have any plans in the future to go Crossfire? If it is smaller than a 24 incher, you might want to get a 4850 and downgrade the power supply to a HX520. Otherwise, stick with the current setup.

Tuniq Tower or TRUE ;-).

And why in the world would you pay 100quid for 2.1 speakers :S.

I wouldnt trade my cheap 5.1s for any 2.1 in the world. And not like it's that much of a hassle with cables, you only got to do it right once ;).
