I would suggest selling your GTX 280 and putting that money together with one of your Intel SSDs into a new ATi Card (5870 would be my suggestion)

You'll get the better performance and featureset of the 5000 series, which will certainly "be good for quite a while", and imho will see more of a return for your money than those SSDs.

(or if you can afford to wait for a bit on the graphics, you could have a look at nVidia's offering's whenever they come out)

To be fair alex, he's only got 2gb of ram which is a bit of a no no these days. And a gtx280 hardly struggles for speed. Reckon a quad core and more ram, with a ssd is not a bad option.

May have misunderstood me :), I meant it as a modification to his suggested spec, not his current rig.
There's a good set of components there, and I wouldnt change most of it, but I would personally argue that sacrificing one of the SSDs, selling off the 280 and investing in a new card to add to the rig will give a better overall performer and featureset.

Sorry. Yeah I see what you mean. Good suggestion. Think how much he could also get for his old motherboard and cpu!
