hi all

just wanted your expert opinions since I haven't been following latest in tech. this is for a gaming rig

spec2013.jpg

I am tempted by water cooling kit since it seems to take less room than the massive air cooling - question does it require maintenance and are they noisy? I want to avoid having to change liquid

I don't plan on OC for the moment but may do it in future if required

your thoughts? should I wait if there are new things around the corner - I would like an SSD now since I think my primary HDD is on its last legs, but could wait to update rest since comp handles what it needs to for now. but can my current mobo http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/Maximus_II_Formula/ handle SSD - it's only Sata II?

Thx and have a merry xmas

PS : no SLI or dual monitors for me, not my thing ;)

my current spec
OS: win 8 pro 64bit
CPU: E8600 E0 stepping (can OC stable under Prime to 4.9ghz last I tried currently @ stock)
HSF: Noctua NH12 or something for lga775
Mobo: Asus Maximus II Formula P45
Ram: 8gb Corsair DDR2 800
GFX: Gigabyte NVidia GTX670 Windforce OC
PSU: Corsair HX1000
HDD: 1tb WD Caviar Green and 300gb WD Raptor
Monitor: Dell WFP2407
Peripherals: Corsair K90 keyboard, Logitech G9 mouse
Case: Lian Li V1100

for me i'd pick a bundle as you want all 3 bits, and also if i was going for another sdd, i'd pick a different one, Adata Premier Pro SP900 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (ASP900S3-256GM-C) is out of stock yes, but for only a few quid more its write speed is better but then again its choice, i dont mind any makes tbh, as long as it works and the price/speed is good

@ Zakblood

thx I am not particular on makes. never heard of Adata

I just want best/easiest RMA service since things happen ;)

@ Stelly

Eh? The 840 is one of the fastest if not fastest drives out there.
