Hi all.
I purchased a cheap gaming pc a few years ago and it's knackered. Time to upgrade.
I've recently been looking into purchasing a competitor custom build. As I'm inexperienced in hardware, advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm upgrading in preparation for upcoming games like competitor I don't have any particular requirements other than that.
Regarding budget, I'm happy to pay a little extra for the long term, but I'd rather not go over £800.
Advice can be flexible. If certain custom options on the site aren't sufficient, I have a friend down the road who's experienced with gaming PCs, and is willing to build or add parts for me.
If you think it'd be better for me to ask my friend to build a PC, please be specific. I'm unsure whether I'd save money, or whether having the PC delivered is a big risk, though it's competitor Would collection be worthwhile?
All the default specifications, custom options and prices can be viewed competitor.
Here's the custom build I have in mind:
Case
NZXT Noctis 450 Matte Black Mid Tower Case [CUSTOM]
Power Supply
620W Seasonic Evo Bronze Power Supply-SS-620GM [CUSTOM]
Motherboard
MSI Z170-A PRO Socket 1151 Skylake Motherboard [DEFAULT]
Processor
Intel Core i5 6600K Skylake Quad Core Retail [DEFAULT]
Cooling
SilentiumPC Spartan PRO-B CPU Cooler HE924 [DEFAULT]
Memory
8GB DDR4 2400MHz [DEFAULT]
HDD
