Dear OcUKers,

I think this is now my third thread where I've hassled everybody with a spec check, I am, now, at last buying it now that I've moved house! :rolleyes:

I'm looking to overclock the CPU hence the cooler.

A £20 Freezer 7 Pro would be just as good as your £50 Antec Kuhler, and the Antec HCG 620W is a better PSU for less money, but regardless it's a good build.

There are some questions as to OCZ's reliability and customer service record, so I'd go for a Crucial or Intel SSD instead, but it's your choice.
 
So reckon the cooler might be worth swapping? Always good to save a few pounds here and there.

Yeah have heard about the SSD problems, it was raised in my last spec. I mean, I could do without the SSD and perhaps upgrade other components slightly, any thoughts on doing that?
 
Antec HCG 620W. Much better PSU.

I wouldn't say the Freezer 7 will be just as good in overclocking situation. The H2O is a good cooler.

As for overclocking, thought about a 2400 + H67, with no overclocking to worry about.

Will outperform an overclocked 955, and you wont need a cooler (at least a cheap one will do, like, ...ta-da... the freezer 7 pro).

So I'd save the money on the cooler and get a i5 2400 + H67. No overclocking bother, more efficient, more performance.

Unless you just want to have fun with the clocks.
 
Why no AM3+ mobo? Or atleast a 890 chipset AM3 as the mobo makers are saying they will be BD compatible with a bios update.

Myself I would ditch the watercooler to free up cash for a 6950 and better mobo. Someone is bound to spec an i3/i5 build too ;)
