I already have an 8800GTX, X-Fi Fatal1ty, HDD's, Optical, etc etc etc.

Basically, I want to know if there's any compatability issues with any of this.

I've heard I have to flash the BIOS of the MoBo to get dual/quad cores to work, but I can't find any BIOS updates for it on the EVGA support site. Is this still actually applicable? If so, a link to the BIOS update would be handy.

Also, if there's ANYTHING else about this setup that you think I should know, please let me know :)

Cheers.

Motherboard? Get an IP-35 Pro, it's around £50 cheaper and will support quad out of the box not to mention one of if not the best overclocking boards... unless you are going to get SLi?

Cooler is expensive and not that good compared to things like the Tuniq Tower, Thermalright Ultra 120 etc.

Get the 520W Corsair and save yourself some money, it's powerful enough for a 1 card system even with overclocks. I'd also ditch the 680i ultra unless you REALLY want an SLI Nvidia system, if you don't then get something else like: Abit IP35 Pro, Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R or the Asus P5K Deluxe which are better boards and more futureproofed. For the price as well I'd also swap that Zalman for a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme and just get a fan with it like an S-FLEX 120mm 1200 RPM. You may as well get the OCZ 6400 ram on "This Week Only" as well, difference between that and the Geil is pittance but it's £7 cheaper so you save £14.

That kinda changes every bit your getting I guess, but build whatever you are happy with, such as if you want SLI Nvidia cards then definetly get the 680i Ultra, or if you're a Zalman fan get the Zalman cooler, etc :) Just letting you know what I'd pick / change.

That's exactly the kinda stuff I'm after. Cheers fellas :)

And no, I can't see myself going for an SLI setup at any point in the future, really.

Sucks when you get out of the loop with PC hardware for a couple of months, you lose track of everything >.<

*goes off to look at a different cooler and MoBo*

+ BFG 8800GTX (already got)
+ X-Fi Fatal1ty (already got)
+ the rest (already got)

Liking the look of the setup more now, especially seeing as it's cheaper 8)

I'll probably stick with the Geil. Used Geil for a long, long time, so I'm gonna keep at it. Never had a problem.
