Hi...thanks to previouse respondants. I just wanted to post this up for advice as previous thread had dropped a bit.

Thinking about this for my final spec. Are there any issues with this lot anyone can see thinks of? Opinions?

Actually, I specified the 550w Be Quiet above, but am I right in assuming I can probably easily get away with the 450w?

Thanks once again.

what games will you be playing? i don't know if its just me but this setup this feels a bit of a waste considering you could get much more for a little bit extra. what res will you be gaming at, what else will you be doing on it other than gaming? sorry did not read original thread and too lazy to find it

I'd definatly go Quad especially for music production as pretty much every bit of software can take advantage of it, and it will last you a lot longer!
I opted for the Kinston RAM over the Corsair because it has a lifetime warrenty (Corsair may also?) and also because it is absolutely awsome memory and very compatible. A 500W PSU will be more than enough even with extras (overclocking, more HDDs, Fans etc) and is near dead silent. You've got your two hard drives (one for system and applications, other for media/files/games) which will make not only audio applications faster, but will keep your system drive fairly empty, meaning it'll keep its speed over time. The sunbeam cooler uses a slighly different method of heat conduct and is very effective, and also will fit all platforms (minus 1366) and also comes with a very nice fan controller. On 50% the fan is very quiet, and thats with an open case!

Edit: I'd pop in the 4830 512MB for £91 if you want to game.

do you have a 'dedicated' sound card? just read previous thread but was unsure as if you plan on using it for studio music purposes id highly reccommend getting one.

Thanks Ozzie. I would like a better GPU than that specced...and would like to do some reasonable gaming @ HD. I was just concerned that changing to a fanned card would really add some noise (this from someone currently runnning an old and 'LOUD' 7800gt....I have no concept of noise levels with current kit).

I will go quad like you suggest...be silly not to really if all the software can utilise this like you say. My only reservation with your spec is the OCZ unit. I have read a couple of people comment that they weren't as quiet as they had hoped. Do you/have you run one?

@ PCDave. Thanks Dave, yeah I will be running external sound gear.

im no sound expert but wont you be better of hooking your external sound gear up to a sound card instead of using on board?

I dont have one myself, but my cousin does.

When i fitted it i remember it being the quietest PSU i'd heard in a while.. :)
