I'm building a machine for a relative - he wan't it to be really fast but never plays games.

His basic metric of speed it probably start up time (hence the raptor) and general office tasks. I didn't think he'd really benifit from dual-core so I've saved a bit and gone for the single core 64, but if you think dual-core is worth it I'm open to suggestion ;)

I very quickly went through ocuk chucking things in the cart that we thought would be good for him.

Will you guys have a quick look at this spec and tell me if there are any bits you'd save money on, spend more on (for a similar overall price) or won't work well together...

Actually, I don't think he really needs the 76 gig raptor so i've substituted it with a 40gig spinpoint (for the quietness).

Do you think that GeiL ram is good enough or would it be worth spending an extra £50 and going for something like Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 or similar?
