Wouldn't it be cheaper to go s939? And with that ram (i.e. not the top speed) then you would probably lose out going to DDR2 rather than gain anything... And if budget is a real issue then wait for a month for Conroe and watch those AMD prices hit rockbottom.

The rest sounds alright, although I'm not really sure on any of them - but can't you stretch to another £10-20 and get a 250gig hdd though?

Its needed fairly soon, and the price drop of amd won't make much if any difference.
I also have to put a screen into the spec and keep the budget below £350 so can't stretch to a 250gb drive
