Getting ready to build a new PC. Can any of you give this spec a look over.

Looking for suggestions for the mothboard - can't decide on which 680i one to go for. Also which cooler would be best for overclocking the E6600 - hoping to get it to about 3Ghz.

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB)
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) ?
Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler ?
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

Already got:
WD Cavier HDD
Dell 20" Wide LCD
Thermaltake Armour Case
HP Lightscrive DVD Writer

Cheers

Welcome to the forums, if you 'just' want 3ghz then you don't need PC8500, PC6400 will do it as easily and save you money, in fact with the 9x multiplier and PC6400 you could theoretically get to 3.6ghz however this relies on having good cooling and getting a good chip for overclocking but 3ghz should be well within the capabilities of the CPU anyway. :)

I'd probably pick the cheapest 680i motherboard, the BFG nForce 680 is on This Week Only at the moment.

The Tuniq Tower and Scythe Ninja are both great air coolers, either one would be more than capable.

I was looking at the tuniq tower only thing putting me off is I read it is a bit load on any setting other than low. Is this right?

Would this be better memory Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB) or any other PC6400 better.

I am not to worried about the price of the motherboard just want to get the best 680i, is this the BFG? I initially looked at the stiker extreme as I normally use Asus but haven't read many good things about it.

Finally about to put my order in, one last check plz guys and recommendations for Northbridge cooling. (apparently it gets quite hot)

Although I have decided on the BFG nforce 680 motherboard I am still a bit unsure between it and the EVGA nforce 680 - is ther much difference.
