looks good, if overclocking maybe a different HSF?

get rid of the Maxtor HDD though! Seagate, Western Digital etc much better.

I've got Maxtor in my own comp, always found them good - why do you think Maxtor should be avoided?

No overclocking will be done.

If your not overclocking the Zalman should be fine.

The Maxtor Diamondmax HDD's have a bit of a bad rep, high failure rates compared to other Hard Drives. Looks like your planning to use it as a backup HDD in this build as well, would recommend something else.
 
If you guys think the Maxtor is no-go I think I'll go for 3 Spinpoints... I'll raid two and have one as a second drive...

I assume Spinpoints still have a reputation for quiet?

Yes they do.
 
I have Spinpoints here and they are very good. The 250GB ones are the best they are the fastest in the range from when I saw reveiws not sure about the news 300Gb and 400GB :).
