wouldnt bother with a raptor tbh waste of money IMO, a Seagate 7200.10 is almost as quick and better value for money :)

and why 4 gb?

You will get a good clock out of that :)

I'd agree with kmistry that Raptors generally aren't worth it in terms of price/performance, they are good and very quick but can also be quite noisy and you certainly pay for the performance.

I'd change the DVDRW to a SATA model, both NEC and Samsung do models that should be suitable. :)

I'd swap the Seagate for a Samsung Spinpoint, they are quieter and only slightly slower. The speed isn;t going to be noticable, but the sound is. Also I would rather have GeIL or OCZ C4 instead of the G.Skill but thats personal preference :)

Nice system mate. I see you took out the raptor. Actually makes sense when you see the price comparison. As noisey and expensive as they are though I do like them...they are fast.

If you are overclocking look more into the RAM. I can not comment much on the G-Skill but from reviews I have read you may only be able to hit 900-950mhz tops. Some users may give you a better Idea.

You could look towards something that will give you a bit more. The Crucual Ballistix is amazing an will hit 1000mhz plus.

You could also have a look at

Dont know what they are like as never used them but pretty good price. Any other users with opinions? I would think they would hit 1000mhz...

I've got a 7200.10 and it is inaudible or at least I can't hear it over the noise my PC would make anyway and I have the side of the case off near permanantly at the moment due to swapping about the other hard drives. I don't know what colour glue is used on mine so I couldn't tell you which motor it uses though. :)

I would change the case to somthing else i have a900 and as soon as i have the money ill get summot else

There's nothing wrong with the Akasa, Asus cases. They will provide you with a good chassis and airflow, some people like to indulge in expensive, better featured cases thats all.
