i would go for a p35 MB such as the IP35 pro, the p35 chiopset is older and more problems have been ironed out. while not the best board chipset for crossfire as it cant support 2x16xpcie slot (electric) you will not be using crossfire with a 8800Gt and you will not be usign sli with either a x38 or p35 chipset (nvidia has not allowed intel to suport sli through their chipsets)

for the psu get the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU. 700W isnt needed unless you plan on using sli and corsair are kinda the market leaders for high quality PSUs at the moment.

even when overclocking, 800MHz RAM is enough unless you want a FSB of 400+ (a quad of nearly 4GHZ), which requires stupidly expensive cooling if your chip can get that high.

for cpu cooling i recommend Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/LGA775) with a 120mm fan such as the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 2000 120mm Fan - 3/4 Pin

Also...the raptor is a waste of money if you are getting a 7200.11 hdd... the performance won't be justifiable for the cost.

if all the list in my first post goes well i shall be buildin a 2nd PC just after the first one.. with a lot of the stuff you just mentioned...

but im guessin it'll all go together alright anyway??
doesnt matter if summit is SLi and there is no SLi?

yeah was thinking that lol

this is only my opinion, but it seems to me like you are buying parts that do not seem needed. i suggest posting the complete specs of both of the pcs up and their budgets along with their purpose. this way you could get whats best for your money rather then spend money needlessly

yeah i know.. and im thankful u mention it :D
but im still goin for it lol!!

Sli PSU be alright with that spec?

personally if its your first build I wouldn't go for a very high spec as if you have static or pressure something in the wrong way your in a load of trouble, but its a good spec, before you build practice on your old PC.

My old Computer (one im usin now) is still a decent PC so i cant really practice on that & i have no other.. so im gonna have to risk it, ive been readin/watchin vids on how build pc for bout month now... lookin everythin up!!

im one these people that wont 'try' anythin stupid if i dont kno what im doin if that makes a lot of sense lol!!

also i have got you guys right? ha haa.. a mate who has built a pc before is willin to give a helpin hand too!!

im still lookin for a psu yeah.. but if i happened to get a sli psu would it matter if rest of my pc isnt SLi (or supports crossfire but isnt gettin used) ?

Thanks again..
