How do,

First time build, total virgin but I've done a fair bit of reading.

Can anyone see any problems with this spec? Also, any suggestions on worthwhile improvements for the sameish money or anywhere I can save a bit without compromising as I'm a bit over budget? I can always lose a gfx card and get another down the line if more money is needed elsewhere. Mobo is main concern as it sounds too good to be true for the price so I guess I'm missing something!

£170.36 - Q6600
£105.74 - Asus P5N-D
£140.98 - 4GB OCZ PC2-8500
£347.78 - (2x) BFG 8800 GT OC
£246.72 - (2x) Raptor X
£52.86 - OCZ StealthXstream 600w
£70.49 - Antec Nine Hundred
£37.59 - Tuniq Tower 120
£187.99 - LG L226WQT 22"

I want somthing that'll play Crysis well and last a good while. Can't imagine my CS:S will stress it too much.

Cheers.

wait 3 weeks till the x2 cards come out man, if you are gonna sli or crossfire then buying now is a waste of cash tbh

a single 3870x2 or 9800x2 will be better thsan 2 8800gt's in sli, also you could get an x38 mobo thats better for clocking the quad instead of getting yourself stuck on a rebadged 680i

Go for the OEM version of the Q6600, being as u're getting the tuniq.

Asus P5N-D : maybe have a look at the X38's as mentioned or abit ip35-pro

4GB OCZ PC2-8500 unless you're looking to really clock the hell out of it go for 4gb of 6400 memory.

(x2) BFG 8800 GT OC : go for one GTS or wait for the dual card 3870s or 9800's.

(2x) Raptor X go for dual western digital AAKS or segate 500gb's
