Hey all, just finished setting up a shopping cart for my brother. He's currently on a 9800pro/Asus s754 mobo/AMD 3000+ and he thinks its time for an upgrade =)

I picked the following for him:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.20GHz (800FSB)
Asus P5N-E SLi
Asus GeForce EN8800 GT 512MB
OCZ StealthXStream 500w
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NQ PC2-6400C5
Samsung SpinPoint S 160GB SATA-II

Just posting to check if its all compatible etc etc. What do you all think?

P.S - He's mainly a WoW player, if it changes anything. Also his case is a Thermaltake SViking...will the 8800GT fit?

Thanks :]

I have a E4500 and regret it. Either go higher end (E6550) if you arent overclocking or lower end (E2200 or 2180) if you are.

You might want to consider changing that PSU for a Corsair HX520. they are a definite favorite at the moment, although the one you have chosen certainly isn't bad. Similar to what manic111 said, if you're getting that CPU you should probably consider an after market cooler to overclock it, if not overclocking maybe consider something a little quicker. But overall it looks ok

have a look at the OcUK Value IP35 Pro Intel P35 mobo, the Asus P5N-E SLi is an older chipset.

maybe change the cpu to the 2200 and get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro cooler, runs the same speed as the 4500 and should clock well.

as mentioned have a look at the corsair 520w psu, had a look around for the case and 8800GT should be ok in it.
