My current PC is starting to show its age (3800 x2) so I am trying to put together a budget PC upgrade

Can someone give me a check on this

I will be using my current gfx for now (1950xt) and hdds psu etc etc.

This all look ok, my top line is £300 to spend.

Current is a AMD 3800x2, 2gb Ram and a X1950XT

Also a Hitachi SATA II 250gb Drive.

Only wanting to replace cpu/mobo and ram at this stage as its a budget upgrade

GFX and another 2gb of ram will come in the following months.

i'd drop the cooler for the time being and get the 2x2gb of memory.

I would go for 4Gb ram now. It's only an extra £23.
