Thinking about ordering soon, i think everything on here is ok, but i just want to double check, i waited to see 4870x2 price and benchs before chosing a graphics card, and from what ive seen so far the price is abit higher than i expected, so i have decided to go half way between a 4870 and a 4870x2 and go for the GTX280 now that its cheaper.

That system looks fine you should have no problems with compatibility and it looks like a nice gaming RIG. I would have possibly gone with the Antec Twelve Hundred myself but that case is Ok.

It mite be pushing it with that motherboard you should be able to get 3.4-3.6 but to get 3.8 it will have to have a lot of volatge through the system which will cause heat problems.

to get 3.8ghz you would have to run the CPU at 475fsb and a multiplier of 8 which is high for that motherboard to do.

That would be better. The other alternative is changing the motherboard to the rampage extreme but that is abit much. The Q9450 should be ok at 3.6 with the tuniq.

Yeah, i wouldnt want to go Rampage Extreme purely due to the DDR3, which is still way too expensive compared to DDR2
