I eed to downsize my case and thought i might as well upgrade at the same time so was looking at this -

DFI LANPARTY JR 790GX-M2RS Socket AM2+ onboard DVI HDMI 8 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 940 Black Edition 3.0GHz (Socket AM2+) - Retail

G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK)

Lian-Li V350B Aluminium Mini-Tower - Black (No PSU)

I game and will be using my existing graphics card, drives, hard drives, sound card.

I will also be video encoding etc...

Got G.Skill ram in my socket 939 rig, is this the best ram for the job.

I will be overclocking as much as i can on air.

Thanks,

Andy

I don't see any problems with it from the info you posted, have you checked that your current gpu will fit in the case?

I'm in the same boat as you what with building my first small form factor rig.Even though I've built countless normal systems there's something alien about these. I actually have all the parts sat in the basket on OcUK but I'm still yet to click buy.

If you planning on overclocking I would consider this HSF or custom water cooling.

I would also suggest a new modular psu to save space. eg this

Also what games you play & what res?
Even a budget card such as a 4670 or 4850 will be a subtainal improvement

What kind of wattage PSU would i need as it's only a SFF i don't think i need much do i? 500watt decent brand?

Will my graphics card and asus xonar d2x fit together in there?
