Well it's my first check my spec thread so please be gentle

Building a new system for my dad to watch his HD movies he's shooting and then edit them - max budget of £850

Note - two of the 1TB drives are going into RAID1 on the mobo.

A few questions I suppose, as it won;t be clocked will the stock HSF suffice or should I stick the Freezer on it.

and have I missed anything or could things be done in a different/better way?

Planning to order tomorrow/friday and pick it up so suggestions please!

You'd benefit from going i7 for his needs, hows this look?
Also included a better PSU, more efficient and its modular too, put alternative case in but you could use the 300, its only a tenner more, another thing Id consider is the HDD, the WD Caviar Blacks are faster, though about a tenner more each so £30 extra, but without shipping the totals about 822
And yes if youre not clocking the retail cooler will be fine
