I have picked what I would like to buy but it is slightly over budget. is there anything I can cut back on without sacrificing too much performance?

  • Radon Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle £417.98
  • Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £46.99
  • Sony Optiarc AD-7260S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) £13.99
  • Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply £59.98
  • Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM £48.49
  • Total £587.43

Also, will these parts all work ok? any dos or donts?
Im going to get a graphics card at a later date after I next get paid.

i did price it up separately, but it seemed to me they have not added on a huge amount for the overclocking and as im no expert, I thought it could be good to get the pros to do it.

it breaks down like this:

  • Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) £146.86
  • Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard £112.99
  • Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3) £37.99
  • Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £86.94
  • Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black £46.99
  • Sony Optiarc AD-7260S 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) £13.99
  • Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply £59.98
  • Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM £48.49
  • Total £554.23

what gpu do u think u might get, and do u plan on sli/crossfire at all, as this will determine the PSU u would need.

if you really want to cut down the price abit, a lower psu (depending on gpu) might work, as well as a slightly cheaper case like the coolermaster elite

not really sure yet on the gpu. had enough to think about with the chip etc :p

I wont have a huge budget and am not hugely informed on what is good. Speculative budget of ~£80 enough to get some thing ok?

I also Have an Maudio 1010lt soundcard that I want to run on this pc. will that draw much power? im tempted to go for a cheaper psu but dont want to be limited later when it comes to gpu and other addition's
