Thanks largely to help from this forum I've got a spec put together. Before I hit the purchase button, can you check the below?

This will be my first build, so if you can think of anything I need (e.g thermal compound?) that I haven't included, please let me know!

Yep, software is fine, mouse is coming from Amazon and keyboard I have already (RSI-reducing-special)

Rig is geared towards crossfire for when I win the lottery/have saved some more cash...

For the sake of £7 I think I can afford some fancy compund...

Thanks!

Buy it, only thing I would do would be get the Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive - but OcUK were sneaky and put the prices up, and it's only a marginal difference! :p

Spec looks pretty spot on. Nice to see another fan of the Tranquillo :) not sure what the TIM that comes with the cooler is like as haven't been able to build my Sandybridge setup yet:(

CF board.

I accept that but i see so many people who pay extra for an SLI/CF board but end up just getting a better card rather than two in the future, not to mention the noise and heat issues with CF. the 560's run soooo cool.

and a flashed 6950 is still the same price, and will be faster.

It won't be faster, the 560 even at the factory OC'd 1Ghz is slightly faster than a 570 (which beats the 6970 in most games). So get yourself a £200 Msi Frozr 560 OC its balls of and you got yourself a 570/6970 beater.
