already posted a couple of spec checks before but have revised my build (still waiting for SAAS payment so in the absence of a tangible pc i have no choice but to obsessively research lol). Here is what i'm thinking at the mo:

OcUK Motherboard Bundle - Intel Core i5 2500K & Asus P8P67 Intel P67 Mainboard **B3 Revision**
MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti Twin FrozR II 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Corsair Graphite 600T Midi Tower Case - Limited Edition White
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650M High Performance 650W Modular Power Supply
Corsair Force GT 60GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
LG GH22NS70 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1A Analogue Gaming Headset

i already have keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, data HDD, windows etc.

any tweaks/suggestions/things which i could skimp on to save some money? Thanks guys.

ps. yeah i like corsair lol.

Change the motherboard, I think you have already been told that the ASUS doesnt do 8X/8X SLi/Crossfire.

And the RAM is tall for aftermarket heatsinks, unless you want to use a Corsiar H60 etc? (keeping the Corsair theme going?) or just use the stock Intel item?

ok i'll switch to the MSI P67A-GD65 and the seperate 2500k. i'm stretching my budget a lot as it is so i figured i'd stick with the stock cooler and maybe in a year or so i can stick a better one on and OC. i'm not really bothered about overclocking as soon as i get it as the 2500k at stock is still a beast and the 560 Ti will probably be the bottleneck in most games anyway.

do you know if the stock cooler would fit with the GD65 and the vengeance heatsinks?

good shout i'll switch the RAM.

i'd love a larger SSD but they're just so damn expensive. i figure i'll get a 60gig one for the OS and a few programs, and then stick a 2nd, larger one in when they come down in price. might switch from the force gt to something cheaper like the OCZ agility 3 60GB, but i've heard they have firmware problems which makes me a bit uneasy.

get the Crucial M4 to avoid firmware issues.

EDIT** hahaha, all 3 of us posted the same thing at the same time :p

how about the corsair force 3 60GB? or are you saying all corsair SSD's have firmware problems? i heard that the early ones did but they did a recall, which means any i buy now should be ok surely. i like the aesthetics of the force 3 more than the crucial M4 and i'm a bit ocd about these things lol. the 64GB M4 has pretty crappy sequential write speeds too which the force 3 absolutely destroys.

also i think i'll go with the asus P8P67 Pro as i've found it on another site for £125 which is too good a price to pass up. gives me the option of sli plus has way more USB connectors than the MSI P67A-GD65. i've also found some vengeance black RAM for a good price so i think i'll go with that too. cooler clearance wont be an issue as i think i'll go for something like the H60 when i do get round to OCing.

Write speeds isnt everything when it comes to SSD's, you mostly spend more time reading from them for the fast game loading etc.
