Hey all, I'm thinking of upgrading from spec in sig (which I hope to sell on) to the spec below. Please give any comments/criticisms. The 2700k is a proxy for a 3770k and the mobo a proxy for the Asus Maximus V Formula as I'm hoping they'll be approx the same price.

It will mostly be used for gaming at 1920x1200 (unless my bro in law gets me a dell 30" monitor of course ;) ). I have an SSD (Crucial C30) and a storage drive as well. I also areay have a keyboard and mouse. Budget is around the £1,800 mark.

I am open to any suggestions and the choice of case isn't set in stone as I know the 800D is also a monster for watercooling.

Ah yes I forgot the barbs! With regard to the sound card: I am a bit of an audiophile and have heard nothing but good things about this particular card. I currently have a Creative X-Fi platinum and have definitely heard the difference between that an on board. That said I am aware that Asus have made great progress with their on board solutions so I suppose the best thing would be to hold off getting the sound card till I try out the on board.

I wasnt aware of many problems with this ram and had thought people thought it was the best thnig since sliced bread! Is it possible that I'd have difficulties as well?

One last issue is I am still quite undecided about the case in truth. I do love the look of the Shinobi, but the capabilities of the 800D are quite attractive as well.

Thanks for the input!
