Is there anything in the build you would change? Need to keep cost below £400.

Am keeping GPU (9800GTX) HDD and Optical drives from current rig.

Also keeping kb, mouse and speakers

TIA

no for the love of god dont get an amd!

care to offer any reasoning or even an alternative?

I avoided Intel as I don't see the point in getting Sandy/Ivybridge when I don't have a need for either...

and having read reviews this particular Bulldozer is apparently fairly good bang for buck

Done a slight remod:

Thank RJC, better system for less.

how acurate are the reviews that say bulldozer is better bang for buck?

Is that PSU going to be enough? Used a couple of online calculators the say i would need at least 650w?

No way my or even the system you speced would pull any more than 300w ~

Even my system with a 580 and 2700k overclocked pulls 430w from the mains at full load.

Monitor is on preorder but this is my take on it

The Z77 mobo can use lucidMVP to boost your old GPUs performance with the IGP. The RAM is a recognised brand (which does overclock quite well for a very low price). Much better case and a good reputable power supply. The 430W corsair RJC suggested is ok but i'd be happier with the XFX incase you want to upgrade the GPU later.
