So seeing as I'm rolling in money now (lol), ie I have my first full pay coming soon from my new job, I decided to put together a dream pc listing for myself. I listed down all the parts I'd like, then divided them in to buy blocks. As in buy one block with one months wages, another with another. And I've grouped them to be complimentary, like buying the cpu ram and mobo together.
BUT seeing as I've not bought anything new in about 5 years I'm a little out of the loop on whats good and whats not, so I'm hoping some friendly people could whip down my list and tell me where I'm watsing my money and where I could get better value!

The full excel sheet is here if you dont want to start from scratch!

Any suggestions appreciated!

Oh yeah I should have mentioned. It is a gaming pc purely (well, cept for some movies). It currently has a 27" 1920x1080 as the main screen and a 22" 1920x1080 as secondary. Obviously I dont want the higher res screen until I have the power to run it lol. But eventually the listed one will be main with my current as secondary.

Also another quick note. I currently have a 60gb ssd, the same model listed in my spec. Because its a small one I thought it bettert to buy another identical and raid them as opposed to binning this one and buying a larger. Do people agree?

oh and as previous people have realised... The case is non negotiable :p

As for the psu. you guys are def going for 750 instead of 650?

Oops just realised its one person posting twice lol

The mobo in both specs support dual card(sli/xfire) should you wish to go that route in the future, so a 750w Psu makes sense. If you don`t think you are likely to go dual card then a decent 500w+ Psu will do fine.

I wouldn't bother with the 27" (seems an expensive route when you have to go SLI to run the native resolution).

What's your current monitors?

I was just thinking actually. Looking at the recommended cpu cooler there, I am currently using a tuniq tower. Would that do a comparably good job? Although I may need to hunt to find my alternate socket fittings...
