Trying to build a gaming PC for <=£800. Will play stuff like Skyrim, Witcher 3, Cities skylines and am aiming for doing so at 1080p as it seems reasonable at this price point. So far this is what I have come up with, I was waiting for Skylake stuff and although it is better than the 4690 with the latter being cheaper its probably the better buy for this.

I am unsure on the cooler, is it good enough and what is the noise like? Also is a 2GB card enough, ideally I wanted to add the 4gb card but the case she likes is the Phenom and the 4gb cards seem to be to long for it.

Did not realise at first yours excludes VAT which is going to take it above the £800 mark

If you are spending that much on a processor (and buying the Z97 "overclocking" board anyway), you would be better off spending £12 more and getting the 4690K OEM for £187.99 inc VAT. Reason being, even if you don't overclock now, you have the option down the line, and resell value would arguable be a lot better.

A 550W PSU will be fine, and an EVGA or Superflower can be had for ~£60 saving some money over your choice.

Actually it's Includes "Shipping, Ex VAT"

So it includes the cost of shipping without VAT (on just the shipping).

It looks that way because OCUK have changed their checkout menu and the parsing script hasn't been updated to match.
