Spec check

Hi, it looks OK to me, I would however go for a matx board to go in the matx case (the mobo linked below you could use an m.2 drive for more speed), and swap out for a WD black HDD (you could use a 3.5in drive, the case can fit it), bit faster and better warranty.

Oh, didn't realise the MATX mobo was similar in price so will get that MATX one instead.

With regards to the HDD; because of the 230mm fan that will be at the base of the case, there isn't room to fit another 3.5in drive (already have one), hence I picked the 2.5in one (it will purely be used to store data).

Also, with regards to the ram, is there any point in getting 3000mhz? or will 2400 or 2666 not be a noticeable difference?

Thanks

You could definitely save on the motherboard if you get matx. Also if the 3.5" drives are mounted the same in that case as they are in the prodigy matx then you might have a bit of bother fitting everything in.

Thanks for the reply Lee.

With regards to the case, its a nice case (built a comp with that case for my dad recently) but I'm all set for the BitFenix Phenom M I'm afraid.

However, do you think I should switch out to the mobo you suggested? What exactly are the differences apart from the slots?

With regards to the cooler, would the corsair h60 be quieter than alphenfohn? And with the ram, is it worth switching down to a lower speed one as I probably won't notice the difference in real time operations?

Thanks

Do you need the wi fi that the board you chose has ?

The corsair will get lower temps than the alphenon but wont be quieter especially as load.

Not really sure why you gone for all led fans without a windowed case ?

Not particularly, not sure why I picked that board to be honest. So the mobo Lee recommended will be suffice?

The LED fans are because I will be getting a custom side glass window for it!

So is the faster ram worth the extra few bucks or just go with 2666?

Thanks
