Rig includes a SSD for games and OS and also 2 4890's in CrossFireX

that corsair SSD is the same speed as the sammy no gain at all get the samsung SSD instead:D

you may need about 6 fan adapters cos all those fans take 4pin molexs but the controller takes 3pin fans:D

I think the idea behind the Corsairs is that they're meant to be much more reliable, though haven't read any reviews so that might be worth checking out before you get rid of it.

Also I'm pretty sure 850W is overkill unless you're intending on crossfire in the future, in which case 750W would probably still be enough.

Raptor may well be a better call than the corsair. Nasty speeds on that compared to the competition. Vertex for the win, even if you have to drop down to 60gb

Thinking of going for a veloraptor and putting another 6gb to make a total of 12gb

As in the other thread, don't bother with the corsair ssd or velociraptor. Get 2 x 30gb vertex's and raid them, they will destroy any of the above. You will lose a bit of space and probably won't get much else other than the OS on them, but games will be just as good of the samsung F1.

I wouldn't bother with 12gb, just get 6gb. The extra 6gb can cause instability with overclocking and won't show any real improvement.

For the case, I'd try and find this in stock somewhere

Best case I've ever used.

I'd get an asus 4870x2 for £230 right now, which isnt thattt much slower than 2 4890s and you always can put another 4870 or 4870x2 in to boost the performance in the future
