Spec for £600 inc screen

will you be re-using anything from you current pc such as the case, psu, hard disk/s/optical drive(if they're sata etc?

if you are then you can up the spec on the graphics card, get an i2500k etc.

oh another option looking at your current specs is to overclock the q6600 to 3.4/3.6ghz add more ram and upgrade the graphics card to say http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-036-HS if you buy it tonight.
if you want a new monitor then with this option you'll be able to buy a better quality monitor,

you can then save up some money and do a full overhaul sometime next year after ivybridge is released.

oh and if you live in mainland uk(enland/scotland/wales) you get free delievry as you've got 100+ posts and been a member for 12+ months http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sh...&posted=1&utm_source=forums&utm_medium=banner

hey fowler unfortunately i would be building it for a friend who has an el cheapo laptop that has just died,so i cant recycle anything except maybe a 250gb HDD i have lying around.

are the HDD prices because of the flooding in thailand

yep it's due to the floods, if the hard disk is sata then it maybe worth using that for the time being. you can then use the £90 and up the CPU to i2500k and if you can stretch to a 6870. are you able wait a month or so what with the new graphics cards due?
