Right I have my mates 700 bucks to play with, he basically need to build a new base unit, case and all. His old pc is 4 years old, about time for an update, he doesn't need monitor or owt else, just the base unit. Spec me a budget conroe please, looking for 2 gig ram and reasonable o/c potential. He plays games a fair bit so best bang for buck folks.. TY

You might want to check the compatability of the Ram with the motherboard(there is a big thread in the Motherboards forum and I think it is fine but I can't remember offhand), other than that you have a collection of good solid parts with a fair bit of overclocking potential.

The PSU is fine, it is a modern PSU from a good brand so will easily cope although for very heavy overclocks you may need to consider something else.

As for other combinations I'd wait a while and see what anyone else can come up with. :)
