Spec for £700 must include monitor!

as the title says really, just looking to build a decent complete system for around £550 then spend bout £150 on a 19" windscreen belinea.

Something like this might be suitable, I picked the Hanns-G because it has a DVI port. You can't quite fit 2gb into the budget without skimping on other parts, if you went with an 80gb hard drive you would still probably be about £20-30 overbudget which might well be worth it anyway.

I'd say that spec is pretty much perfect. You can always add another 1GB of RAM at a latter date. It's not like the A64 where you really didn't want to go to 4 dimms.

well you would soon find out after you buy everything although i think it would hold up unless you are intending to o/c etc.

Even a 8800GTX based rig you just need 450W :eek:

What's important/recommended is 30A on the +12v Rail & dual.

If going SLi or Crossfire, now that's a different story :cool:
