Thanks, he's impressed. Thinking about upgrading as well, somehow an Athlon XP 3000+ and x800XT just doesn't quite cut it any more

He said is it worth spending another £40 for another 2gb ram?

does he have a 64 bit OS such as xp x64, or vista [name] 64?

if yes then i say so

if no tehn i say dont as a 32 bit OS will only see 3.75GB or ram including the ram on your Graphics card

clock for clock the C2X are faster then the AMD X2 and the C2X overclocks better.

it is also cheaper to select the parts in a bundle seperatly rather then in a bundle thus saving some cash.

the 8800GT also outperforms the 3870 in games.

and since i speced the first option i say go for that one
