spec for friend: help!

hey guys just need an idea of what my friend could get. he has £300 to spend, not a penny more. heres what he needs;

mobo
cpu
g card
ram
case/psu

primary use is gaming so i was thinking a 7600gt, other than that ill leave it up to you to decide, the case could be a cheapish gaming one, but the budget is tight so psu probably have to be with case. oh and the hard drive he has is ide so mobo has to have a slot for that.

any suggestions i thank for in advance

hmm matters are complicated, but would you say its worth spending £300 on an upgrade to an agp system with a p4 2.8ghz, or just selling it and getting a newen like originaly planned in first bit of post?

£20 over budget, but 7600GT is there, you can probably get a 7600GS and just get it on budget
