Hi

I need to build a desktop for the girlfriend.... According to her it needs to be 'small, cheap, and cute'

Anyway here is what I had in mind, if someone could suggest some components that will go well together I would be very grateful! The cheaper the better to be honest.

Memory: 2 Gig of 800Hz DDR2 should be sufficient

Motherboard: Micro-ATX, I assume Intel would be best? Must include integrated graphics as she doesn't need any 3d acceleration.

CPU: Retail, dual core. Doesn't need to be particularly fast. Intel is best I assume?

Opical Drive: Cheapest available DVD burner should be ok.

Hard Drive: 250gb should be more than big enough

Wireless: Must have wireless capability, preferably not through USB.

Case & PSU. Again something cheap and functional. 300 Watts should be ok.

So any ideas? The cheaper the better. i should be able to sort out an OS, keyboard, mouse, speakers and a monitor.

Thanks for the quick spec. All the components look spot on. Any chance you can suggest a cheaper case + psu? I agree the Silverstone does look very nice but the credit crunch is hitting hard so maybe we can compromise on looks a little?
