Spec for new PC

I've just put this spec together as my dad has asked me to build him a new PC for audio encoding and playback. Any thoughts? Would this combination of processor and motherboard be ok?

I take it that he has a soundcard and a case already then?
as well as a keyboard, mouse etc?

you could get a lower powered graphics card than that, anc change it for something passive because he doesn't really need anything powerful does he?

It is all compatible, are you planning on overclocking? If not then the Ram is slightly overkill, you might be better with 4gb of PC6400 instead. You might also find that the Q6600 offers rather better value for money.

Yeah he's sorted for keyboard, mouse and sound card. Asked him about the graphics card and although it is more than he needs, he wants to futureproof in that area as he may want dual displays in a couple of years time.

He wants a quiet and well built case though, but i'm lost on that one
