Haha seriously?
Absolutely serious. It is the better card and not that far behind an 8800GTX, however whether it is enough of a jump is a slightly different matter, you haven't gone overboard with the budget here.
You may be better keeping your current 8800GTS 640mb and saving up for a new one later on. Either that or buying an 8800GTS 512mb and then selling your old card and the upgrade hopefully won't cost you that much at all.
What res do you play at?
If you could stretch that £180 a bit more then a GTX is within reach

Nearly went for that myself but went for the G92 GTS for overclocking fun![]()
SLI or crossfire options on motherboard?
Lol. Ok
Will the PCI-E 2.0 work with a 1.0?
I only play at 1280x1024. But i might be going up to 22" soonish.
Also i think it looks like the GTS G92 seems to be the best.
640MB GTS = about 18 months old, about the same performance as a Ati HD3870/ NV 9600 GT
512MB GTS = only been out a couple of months, only NV 8800GTX/Ultra Ati HD3870x2 beats it & is a lot cheaper.
