hey i have a dell optiplex 775, which is a smaller case than normal
needed to add a tiny bit of graphics power, preferably enough to occasionally play some games at 1440x900 like quake 4, but mainly just for playing hd video etc

i just bought the gainward 4670 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-086-GW and unluckily it doesnt quite fit in my case.. its a little too wide and slightly too long. though also the connector side of the card on the back plate of the case doesnt line up properly with the holes and doesnt have enough room to slot in.

heres a pic of the pci slot in the case

since i can't get this to work, what other cards that are much smaller could i also fit that will do what i want them to do?

hey i think its a smaller card in general i need,

when i line it up to fit in the black socket, the cards bracket is actually too long and doesnt fit into the bracket on the side of my case, i think i need a low profile card with its own bracket so itll fit. also the cards cooler/case thing is too fat so it doesnt fit in width ways next to the hard drive.

the card you posted sounds great, i'm just hoping i can find a more powerful card in a low profile solution. after some searching ive heard there may be a 9600gt in low profile, or a 4650 around so ill have a look.

also as an alternative what are pci express 'flexi riser cards' like as an extension solution? do they cause problems with graphics cards with lag or something?
