Hello.

I am after some advice/guidance on a pc build please This is my first PC build but have been fixing PC's and desktop support for 10+ years. I have been gaming on consoles for years newest is the PS4 which is fantastic but would like to try PC gaming. I have been looking through the various posts and have had a play around with bundle deals and offers and have come up with the below spec.

I would like to try 4k as I cant justify buying a 4K tv yet (and really want to have something with 4k unless a 144hz gaming monitor would be better and can be convinced)

I wouldnt like to go over £2500 for the build.

Would the spec also allow for another 290 in the future if its needed? I.e is the powersupply chosen ok, is the case big enough and not cause to much heat etc......?

Thanks for looking and lok forward to some advice.

P.s I did spec the R9 295x as it looks like a nice bit of kit but I could buy 3 r9 290's for the price of one 295 and think I would gain more from the 3 290's than the 295x.

That would give you 16GB extra to sell on and get around £100+ back.

Or Nvidia and 4K Gsync,

Thanks Stulid never thought of reselling the additional components that werent needed. Is there anywhere on the forum that you can sell on?

Would the 750 watt powersupply be ok for the 2 r9 290's and future proof if I decided to add another card in the future?

There is a members market but you need 1000posts and 180days registration,

The members market is provided as a free service to active and contributing forum members. OcUK are not liable for any deals that are done in the Members Market, you are free to buy and sell at your own risk. Please read the rules of the Members Market before you proceed to make your first sale.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 1000 posts and have been signed up for at least 180 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 1000 posts, you will need to activate your trust. The Trust system is for Members Market feedback only and not to be used for general user comments. Abusing the trust system will not be tolerated and such abuse will result in your account being suspended/ banned. Trust activation is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Once you satisfy both of these criteria, Members Market access will be granted within 24hrs. Please do not post on the forums asking why you cannot access the members market, if you have any queries, email one of the forum Dons/Admins. The contact addresses are available in the FAQ. There is no buying, or selling allowed outside of the Members Market.

I swapped out the 750W for the other bundle and added a Nvidia option.

Those specs look great.

You will need Xfire/SLI to get the best out of 4k so 290Xfire or 780 SLI is a great start.

I think i'd go with the nvidia option, even though it is more expensive G sync seems a nice feature to have.

Tri-Fire (3 x 290's) still doesn't scale very well so you won't benefit from it much (if atall over 290 Xfire), same goes for the 780's.
