Hey so now i have the money and am ready to buy in the next week, i need a little help pick me next parts. So far i only have;

MB Asus p8z68-v pro
i52500k
and 8gb ram

every thing else i need apart from a monitor and os.

My budget is pritty big (i think) at £1200 (thats for the parts i need not including what i have already).

Now this is the first Gaming pc i am building, so i have no clue on whats good for money and whats going to be future proof for a few years. It is going to be used mainly for gaming( res 1920x1080) and would like it to be on the highest settings for most games, the normal day to day internet browsing.

All help would be appreciated
Thanks
Aaron

• Gold rated PSU.
• Water cooler incase your RAM has tall heatsinks.
• A pair of reference GTX570 so they push the hot air out the back of the case.
• Fast SSD and a good sized HDD.

I think I will wait to get the HDD at that price, also two 570's I read somewhere are the same as one 590 now I don't know how true this is but is it work spending that little bit more? If not is it worth spending that little bit more on 2 580 or wait for the new cards?

Every thing else looks ok to me but am not to sure what does everyone else think?

stulid is the spec master on this forum but just point out something he missed mentioning, the price on the 570 & ssd change tomorrow as they are on the 'this week only' offer that started last wednesday(new offer every wednesday). the 570 will increase by £28 each(so £56 in total) and the ssd by £6 so in total £62.

wait for the new cards if you have the patience.

A GTX590 is like two GTX580's but slowed down due to heat/and power requirements on a single PCB.

To be honest at the resolution you said a single GTX570 is ample, but two just make it a simple case of set the game detail settings to maximum and forget about it.

Waiting Is no problem the longer I wait the bigger tje budget gets each month, the question is are they going to be worth the extra money over the current cards? As iv heard nothing about them or when they are due

Also thanks for the quick replys

Aaron

No one knows anything about them, even if they did they couldn't tell you due to NDA's.

January sometime is what I saw mentioned for ATI's offerings.

Hmm ok then, Iv just seen the new deal of the week are the msi twin forza 580 a good price and worth it over the 570s for the price diffrence.

thanks

aaron

seems the msi 570 only went up by £8(guess the was £280 was to make it look like a better deal then it actually was ;) ), the 580 twin forzer is £90 more so if you want to go sli(£700) you're looking at £180 difference.
