Spec help appreciated (x 2!)

Hi all,

Would very much appreciate assistance with 2 new PC specs.

1) First PC for my 9 year old son. Lives with his Mum, so can only play Minecraft etc when he comes to stay with me - hence a new build to be resident at his Mums.

Budget - £450.

Needs - Case, guts (including graphics card), monitor (20" would be fine).

Doesn't need - OS (will be putting W7 on it), keyboard, mouse.

Would be playing some games that are a lot more graphically taxing than Minecraft, so choice of graphics card reasonably important.


2) Home PC for my parents, for email, internet browsing, word processing, Skype etc.

Budget - £300 to £350.

Needs - Case (reasonably small form factor appreciated, but not essential), guts, monitor (20" would be fine).

Doesn't need - OS, keyboard, mouse.

Maybe a cheaper intel or substitute from above?

Heatsink is optional, but the stock AMD is quite small however is fine for Minecraft, not sure besides that.
