Hi all,

Sorry to do this, my brother wants a pc that he can play games on. Nothing above 1080 resolution but wants to be playing Skyrim, Rome 2 etc on decent settings.

I spec'ed him an Haswell rig as I only use Intel myself but it came out about £700 quid which is a little steep for him at the moment.

So anyway, how does this look? And please be kind, I dont know AMD at all.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7870 Black Knight 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (R7870-2GD5T) with FREE GAMES £149.99
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-4 Quad Core 4350 4.20GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £91.99
1 x Akasa Cobra Power 650W Modular Power Supply PSU £61.99
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £59.99
1 x Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 MicroATX Motherboard £52.99
Total : £430.45 (includes shipping : £11.25).

Couple of things I should say, first the case he already as and is MATX, also he has a 128gb SSD as a boot drive that I can give him. EDIT> Also will be using an Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 from me.

If there is anything that can be changed to make this better, and ideally under £500 I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

The 6300 is much better than the 4350 and even slightly cheaper. The board is bad - do you have to stick with the micro-ATX case?
