Hey

My current i7-920 (Nehalem) system has done me proud  and I'm looking to upgrade to the new Skylake, so any help, hints, do's, don'ts would be greatly appreciated!

The system will primarily be used for photography work but I'm keen to get back into a bit of gaming!

My current key component build is:

- i7-920 CPU (upgrade)
- Asus P6T Intel X58 motherboard (upgrade)
- BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro 650W (upgrade)
- OCZ Gold 6gb DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) (upgrade)

- Samsung SpinPoint F1 750gb SATA-II (keep or upgrade)
- Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SATA 6Gbs SSD (keep or upgrade)
- MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 580 (keep or upgrade)

Upgrade to:

I tend to leave upgrading until it needs a full overhaul, so the cost can stretch if need be but I don't want to spend unnecessarily either. Will my existing SSD / HDD & GFX be ok?

Cheers

Thanks for the advice guys, definitely a few things to think about!

The case is a Lian-Li PC V1000 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower, so plenty of room I would imagine!

I'm really just trying to get the best for the money and to create a system that will last for years to come!
