Haven't upgraded my rig for a long time now, other than a new Stacker late last year, and I really need help with specs.

Currently I have:

Coolermaster Stacker
Zalman Reserator (CPU & GPU)
Abit IC7 MB
Northwood P4 3.2c
2gb Corsair PC3200 XMS
Gainward Goes Like Hell 6800GT @ 405x1185
Audigy 2 ZS
Inadequate PSU which is too noisy!

I want to keep the Stacker and perhaps the Zalman if it's compatible. Silence is the key here guys. I am willing to turn to the darkside and use AMD kit, no preference for Intel other than history. I'd like a new 400-odd gb drive for system use, have a 250 that I would switch to backups and files.

Usage is 50-50 between games and internet stuff. I'm not planning on overclocking but need my games to run a bit better. Oblivion has really shown me up this weekend....

Budget is around £600 I guess as I will be selling off any replaced components. Would really appreciate the advice.

Thanks Matey.

Two questions though, to what extent is a 7600GT going to outperform what is effectively a 6800U ?

Also, any idea whether the reserator block is compatible with the 7xxx series gpus?
