Hi Guys,

I'll Get To The Chase, I'm Building My First System Consisting Of :-

Akasa Eclipse Case
OCZ stealthxtreme 600w
Asus M4A79 XTD EVO
Phenom II X4 955 BE
500GB Seagate 7200RPM SATA
Samsung 22X DVD R/W
1GB XFX HD5770 XXX Edition
3gb 1600mhz DDR3.............................................. ....

Anyone Have Any Ideas For A Good Cooler, I Bought A TX3, But Have Been Concerned With The Reviews About It, Am Thinking Of Getting A Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme, Obviously Better But Pricey, And Was Also Concerned About My PSU, Any Help Welcome

That CPU has a dual channel memory controller, you want 2x2gb sticks for 4gb total, the triple memory kits are for intel i7 cpus.

The PSU has got decent reviews:

Unless you have bought a pair of 1GB DIMMs and a pair of 512MB DIMMs I would be looking to get a pair of 2GB DIMMs as the memory controller in the Phenom II runs the RAM in dual channel.

Apart from that the build looks fine to me.

I would get one of the following coolers:

I Did Start With A Budget But Have Just Scrapped It, So Am Thinking Better
PSU AND Cooler, Also My Mobo Only Has 2x case fan, 1x Power Fan And 1x CPU Fan Connection So Can You Buy A Extension Board Or Some Other device That Allows The Install Of More Fans?

Since the HD5770 only uses one PCI-E power connector the OCZ PSU should be fine. The Titan Fenrir is also quite a decent air cooler.

Yes. You can use a seperate fan controller, these usually take one power connector from the psu, then divide it up to multiple fan connections, each of these can be individually adjusted.

Outstanding, Cheers Dude, I'll Look At The Fenrir, I Admit Its The Blue Light On The Tuniq That Sells It For Me, Im A Bluenose...............LOL, And I Got The View Panel Window With My Eclipse (All For 69 Shackles) And Love The Pics Ive Seen With The Blue Lit Cases, Very Calming And Cool

yeah but if he wants to add in another 5770 at some point or just a more powerful gpu that requires 2 6 pins a modular psu might be more usefull, the 600w ModXstream is on offer for the same price as the StealthXstream atm :)

The StealthXStream has a pair of PCI-E power connectors. OTH,if the ModXStream is the same price it is worth having a look at it also!

The tx3 is enough for some light overclocking say up to 3.7 or so (with fairly high load temps), depending on the chip, but most likely not enough to get you to 4GHz if thats what you want.
